I am a 2010 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, with a degree in Mass Communications. I am excited to be representing Arkansas Valley at Miss Arkansas on July 13- 16 at Summit Arena in my beautiful hometown of Hot Springs. Throughout the past years, the Miss America program has rewarded me with thousands of dollars in scholarship money, and I look forward to continuing my education as I work to obtain a Masters degree in Public Health. Along with scholarship monies, I have gained experiences and friendships that have enriched me throughout college, and have helped me in my current job at the Office of Governor Mike Beebe. While visiting my Web site, my hope is that you will learn more about my platform, Matters of the Heart. You will also learn about organizations that are dear to my heart: Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the American Heart Association.
